CDA Foundation has a unique program that works in partnership with Henry Schein Cares to support nonprofit organizations in California that provide dental care to underserved individuals in their communities. Through the Dental Materials and Supplies Grant, selected organizations across the state can receive between $5,000 and $25,000 in donated materials and supplies over two years to assist them with dental operations and the provision of dental care.
In 2024, the CDA Foundation and Henry Schein Cares awarded the following eight organizations with in-kind materials and supplies:
- AACI (Asian Americans for Community Involvement)
- Ampla Health
- California CareForce
- Dentistry4Vets
- Omni Family Health
- Regents of University California
- UCSF Children’s Night Clinic
- University of California San Francisco Foundation
- Western Sierra Medical Clinic
- Westside Family Health Clinic
Other past recipients include such diverse organizations as the Contra Costa Regional Health Foundation, American Indian Health & Services and Buddhist Tzu Chi Medical Foundation.
Nonprofits can now apply for the grant
The 2025 grant application cycle opened Jan. 1 and will close Monday, March 31, at 11:59 p.m.
Community-based organizations that provide programs to underserved and diverse clients and demonstrate relevance to the Foundation’s mission will have a greater opportunity for funding. The Foundation will also consider organizations that provide care in a designated Dental Health Care Professional Shortage Area and can use and dispense a high volume of materials and supplies.
To be eligible for the grant, organizations must be classified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
