BLS/CPR

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, commonly known as CPR, is an emergency procedure performed in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person who is in cardiac arrest. It is indicated in those who are unresponsive with no breathing or abnormal breathing, for example, agonal respirations.

Per the Dental Board of California, to complete the continuing education requirements as outlined in Title 16, California Code of Regulations, Sections 1016 and 1017 for renewal of a license or permit, completion of the mandatory courses include: Basic Life Support (BLS) course provided by the American Red Cross (ARC), American Heart Association (AHA), or a provider approved by PACE or CERP. A maximum of 4 credits will be awarded for completion of this course.

Training is provided by Dr. Sapna Lohiya, an American Heart Association (AHA) certified instructor.
