This lecture will review the various clinical situations presented to the dental implant surgeon and the decision tree that should be followed, to gain the most ideal post-placement outcomes. We will discuss surgical techniques and hard and soft tissue considerations when navigating through these cases. Vital for many of these cases and the final prosthetic results, are surgical guides. We will cover the use and fabrication of surgical guides to make surgical outcomes more predictable.
