Parag R. Kachalia, DDS
Dr. Kachalia maintains a private practice in San Ramon, CA, and is the chief clinical officer for the Seattle Study Club. He’s also the former vice chair of simulation, technology and research at the University of the Pacific. In 2021, 2022 and 2023, he was selected as one of the 32 most influential people in dentistry.

Day 1

The foundation of long-lasting restorations is laid before treatment even begins. This first day focuses on comprehensive case planning, biomechanical considerations, and the strategic selection of materials that maximize function and longevity. Participants will learn how to assess cases holistically and implement strategies that reduce the risk of early failure.

Aesthetic restorations must be designed for more than just visual appeal—they need to maintain integrity over time. The second day shifts focus to composite veneers, indirect restorations, and the critical steps that prevent premature failure. This includes polishing techniques, surface treatments, and maintenance strategies that protect against staining, wear, and breakdown.

Travel & Planning FAQ
There is not a prerequisite to take prior to attend the workshop.
The Waterfront Beach Resort is a luxurious destination with plenty of amenities at a special CDA room block rate of only $359 per night + a $10 resort fee (reduced from $40 for our group) and any applicable taxes. Cancellations for a hotel room reservation must be received 72 hours prior to the expected day of arrival, or the hotel will charge for one night’s accommodation. Please note, upon early departure, an Early Departure Charge of $100 applies. Once registered, you’ll receive instructions on how to book your stay.
Only valet parking is available. Day-use valet parking is discounted to $17 per day and overnight valet parking is discounted to $38 per day for Hands-On Workshop attendees.
